• Please log on to your computer as an administrator.
• Install the software package that is delivered with your Sony camera.
• Make sure that you have installed the latest drivers available from our download page.
• Restart the computer. Do not resume from standby, suspend or hibernation mode.
• If you are using a notebook computer, make sure that it is connected to the mains.
• Make sure that your camera is also connected to the mains.
• Remove any USB component other than your camera.
• Turn on your camera.
• Firmly plug the USB cable in the USB port on your computer and camera. If your computer has several USB ports, connect your camera to different USB ports.
• If you want to transfer pictures, make sure that there is a Memory Stick inserted in your camera.
• If you want to use the USB streaming function (Sony Digital Video camcorders only), activate it from the camera's menu.
