Although I was warned that this is not multi-region and won't play a lot of DVDs, I regretted getting it after all. There's also a lot of vibration when the player is running.

Easy set up and space savings. It loads fast and menu is easy to use. The Wifi connection is great. Hooked up to my Yamaha av receiver and Panasonic 65 inch tv and the images and upscaling to 4k is awesome. Thanks Sony!

I used to own a bluray player that’s able to play multi region code DVD, but sadly it did not last. Bought the new Sony bluray player, like it’s amazing compact size. However there’s not indication on timer on player, that’s perfectly fine as am able to activate on screen if need be time lapse of movie. Most disappointing is the fact it only plays region 3 DVD. Come on, what era are we living that one needs to have code for specific region. People travel and there’s tendency to purchase discs from all over the world. This could be the very reason that DVD discs popularity are declining compared to streaming due to such curbs. End up I got another Philips DVD player that truly plays multi region DVDs. I am sure there are lots of unhappy reviews written about the fact it only plays region 3 DVD and is not multi region, but Sony is not listening.

This is my second player as the previous Sony player lasted more than 6.5 years and going strong. Well just feel like changing to a new one.

I bought this during 11.11 sale at a good price from the Sony shop on Lazada. I chose this model with wi-fi as replacement for my home theatre bluray player which stopped working. It has all the usual features in a very compact size. It was easy to set up and works great. One thing to be aware of is that the included HDMI cable is only 1.5m long so the player has to be very close to the TV. I used my own longer HDMI cable to place it farther away. The other thing to note is that this player, like most bluray players except those that have been modified, is not multi-region when playing DVD. I expected this as my LG home theatre bluray player was the same. That’s why I have a separate multi-region DVD player for my region 1 and region 2 DVDs which I have many. For bluray playback and region 6 DVDs I definitely recommend this.

Only region code 3 available. Same model from orher country can get all region code. That was not fair and complicated for customers

This will only play DVDs and Blu-ray Discs from Singapore and Hong Kong. Since most of my collection is from the US and Europe this is disappointing. I use it for Netflix and You-tube. The lack of additional apps is a major drawback. Performance is average. Sometimes the interface freezes up when exiting from the internet. Not recommended.

I bought this about a month ago and I am happy with the product. I like that it allows me to play YouTube video from the web. The loading time is not as long as my old machine.

Bought the DVD player a month ago. Impressed with the compact design and user friendly setup. Once power up the player, following the setup instructions will do. Picture quality is great. A bit slow in startup but OK. Overall an excellent product.

I tested playing with Blu-ray discs, the overall comment is good and acceptable. However when playing DVD discs, it seems that this player is not multi-region coded hence some of my DVD discs are not playable.

I breakdown this way so those who are interested can understand why is this is a good player: Pros Fast Startup - This is the main reason why should anyone consider a proper Blu ray player than using gaming console as an Blu ray player Good Picture and sound quality Compact size thus it doesn't take up much space Cons Black Screen issue during first start-up User Interactive Menu are rather slow especially options Overall it is a good player but bug by few issues like initial start-up there will be no display which requires a reboot.

It has what a player has, able to read blue ray w wi-fi features. I own many player but none as good as this sony model. a model worth more than the price.

One big disappointment and regret - it can only play certain Region Codes DVDs. This is a major deficiency as other brands BluRay players can play multi region code DVDs.
